Privacy Policy

At Group Help, accessible from @GroupHelpBot on Telegram and all others Bots connected to it, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users.
This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Group Help.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us with Support button in the Bot or through our email.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for users who come into contact to our Telegram Bots with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Group Help or that Telegram shares with Group Help related to them. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than these Telegram Bots.

Lawful bases

We do not ask for your prior consent in relation to the data that is saved as the following information is essential to be able to provide the services to the groups that use our Bot.

The lawful bases we rely on for processing your information are:

  • We offer a public service for the protection of Telegram groups.
    • Telegram does not offer any feature to automatically protect groups, which is why our bot acts in the public interest in this regard, offering a mostly free service for protecting groups from any unwelcome external and internal attacks.
    • The manual group management functions provided directly by Telegram are incomplete or hard to be used: through our bot it is possible to greatly facilitate the action of administrators to protect their groups, compensating for the shortcomings of the platform itself.
  • We pursue the legitimate interest of groups and their group managers, who use our services also for 360-degree management of the same.

This doesn't affect your rights, which are explained in detail later in this document.

Detailed information on the data we collect and save

To provide our services we need to collect some information which are detailed here.
For each type of data collected it is specified how we collect them, why we collect them, who has access to them, how long we keep them and eventually if it's not possible to request their cancellation (only for data absolutely necessary for the public service offered by the bot).

  1. We save your account informations like: Telegram ID, name, surname, username, bio, language and the date of the last update of this data in our database.

    • These are sent us by Telegram API when you join a group with our bot or send something in a group with our bot or start privately one of our bots or when someone uses a bot command by specifying your username as a parameter.
    • Some of this information (in particular the bio) is not necessarily always saved.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make bot commands via id/username (like /ban, /mute, /info, etc.) to work properly.
    • All Telegram users can retrive this informations (with /info command) having your Telegram ID or your username, with bot commands. This information is publicly visible in your Telegram profile.
  2. We save in which groups your Telegram account was detected, which are your status in the group (member, restricted, banned and/or left), how many messages you have sent there, the date of the last detected message and the date of joining.

    • These are sent us by Telegram API when you join a group with our bot or send something in a group with our bot.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make bot some commands (like /list, /inactives and /info) to work properly.
    • These can be retrieved by the staff of a group (with bot commands or a log channel), but only for your information about that group itself.
  3. We save in which groups you are owner or administrator, what permissions you've exactly there and eventually your custom title.

    • These are obtained through Telegram API if you are the owner of the group or if you are promoted as group administrator.
    • These are saved as long as you are administrator/owner in the group (and until the list we save is updated, usually within 2 days if the group is active).
    • These are saved to give you the possibility in the group to use the commands you have been given access to and possibly to manage the bot through the private chat.
    • If you aren't set as anonymous administrator/owner, all users in a specific group may see that you are administrator/owner of the group itself (with /staff command and also with Telegram functions).
    • You cannot request the deletion of this data as it is necessary to offer our public service. If you want to delete this data, leave the groups in which you are administrator/owner and our bot is present.
  4. We save your group roles bot side (co-founder, moderator, chat cleaner, muter, helper, free user, group custom role), eventually custom title about it and the date when it will be removed.

    • These are saved when a group manager change your roles within the group.
    • These are saved as long as you've the role in the group and your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allow you to take advantage of the permissions provided to the roles you have within the group and eventually to show them in /staff command.
    • These can be retrieved by the staff of a group (with bot commands or a log channel), but only for your information about that group itself. If you have roles which appear in /staff command, all users in the group may see them.
  5. We save your warns received in groups, when you received it and when it will expires.

    • These are saved when a group manager change your warns within the group.
    • These are saved as long as they are not removed by group managers or they expire, and your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make the "Warn" system work properly in groups.
    • These can be retrieved by the staff of a group (with bot commands or a log channel), but only for your information about that group itself.
    • You cannot request the deletion of this data as it is necessary to offer our public service.
  6. We save which Group Help bot clones you created, its username and bot token.

    • These are sent us by Telegram API and yourself when you complete the procedure to create the bot clone.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allows you to active a "Start custom" option there and to make the bot clone work properly in all its functions (for example night mode advises, recurring messages, etc.).
    • If you ask the deletion of this data your bot clones will no longer work as Group Help.
  7. We save which Group Help clones you started and which ones you have blocked.

    • These are sent us by Telegram API when you started or blocked a bot.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved for the operation of the functions explained in the next point.
    • If you ask the deletion of this data the information relating to the next point will also be deleted.
  8. We save the language you selected for using in private chat and the groups you are setting up via the private chat with the bot.

    • These are sent by yourself using the bot commands or buttons.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allow the bot to reply to your commands in your preferred language and to allow you to change group settings privately.
    • These may be seen by the staff of a group (with a log channel), but only for your information about that group itself.
  9. We save the groups you joined but haven't solved the captcha yet, captcha expire date and the date and permissions in the group at the time you joined.

    • These are sent us by Telegram API when you join a group with our bot.
    • These are saved for up to 30 minutes.
    • These are saved to allow you to solve the Captcha correctly or to carry out a punishment in case you do not solve it in time.
    • These may be seen by the staff of a group (with a log channel), but only for your information about that group itself.
    • You cannot request the deletion of this data as it is necessary to offer our public service.
  10. We save the groups you joined but did not resolve the captcha in time and information about your permissions in the group at the time you joined.

    • These are taken from information saved for the previous point.
    • These are saved for up to 2 months.
    • These are saved to allow you to leave and join a group to be able to resolve the captcha again to send messages to the group.
  11. We save that you are the creator of a Personal Blacklist.

    • These are saved when you create a Personal Blacklist with @PersonalBLBot.
    • These are saved as long as the blacklist exists.
    • These are saved to permits to you to manage blacklists you created.
    • These may be seen by staff of groups where your blacklist is imported (when it's imported and by group settings). This is done for security reasons.
    • If you ask the deletion of this data, all your blacklists will also be deleted and all information releated to them.
  12. We save that you are an administrator of Personal Blacklists created by another user.

    • These are saved when the Personal Blacklist owner adds you as administrator of its blacklist.
    • These are saved as long as the blacklist exists and you are administrator of it.
    • These are saved to permits to you to manage blacklists where you are administrator.
  13. We save that you have been added to Personal Blacklists created by other users.

    • These are saved when a Personal Blacklist manager adds you as in the blacklist.
    • These are saved as long as the blacklist exists and you aren't removed by its managers.
    • These are saved to make the "Personal Blacklist" system work properly.
    • If you join a group where the blacklist is imported, these may be seen by all the group members.
    • You cannot request the deletion of this data as it is necessary to offer our public service.
  14. We save the date and content of any messages you may send us in Support in one of our bots, the date, any motivation specified by you and the group where you request an intervention and eventually if you are banned by using our Support.

    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allow us to help you in the best possible way and to improve the quality of our support service.
  15. We save the date, type of service bought for each purchase made in our bots. We can may save the type payment method used (like Stripe, PayPal, Bitcoin, etc.).

    • If you use Stripe we may also store the Stripe transaction ID.
    • If you use PayPal we may also store your PayPal e-mail address.
    • If you use a cryptocurrency, we may also store the transaction ID you send to us.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • If you ask for the deletion of this data you will no longer be able to use the options you have purchased and also all the information of the following 4 points will be deleted.
  16. We save in which groups you actived the "PRO" option.

    • These are sent by yourself using the bot commands.
    • These are saved as long as the group uses our bot and it's Pro.
    • These can be retrieved by the staff of a group (with /checkpro command), but only for your information about that group itself.
    • If you ask for the deletion of this data, the groups in which you activated the "PRO" will no longer be PRO, but you will be able to activate the PRO to other groups later.
  17. We save in which groups you actived the "ULTRAPRO" option, when you did it and for how many months you activated it.

    • These are sent by yourself using the bot commands.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • If you ask for the deletion of this data, the groups in which you activated the "ULTRAPRO" will no longer be ULTRAPRO, but you won't be able to use in other groups the ULTRAPRO months already consumed.
  18. We save in which bots you actived the "Start custom" option.

    • These are sent by yourself using the bot commands.
    • These are saved as long as the bot exists on Telegram (and up to 1 month after its eventual cancellation) and as long as it has a Start custom option enabled.
    • If you ask for the deletion of this data, the bots in which you activated the "Start custom" will no longer have it, but you will be able to activate it to other bots later.
  19. We save your eventually "Lang custom" codes and names.

    • These are sent by yourself when you buy it and when you use the commands in @GHTranslationsTeamBot.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • If you ask for the deletion of this data, the group in which you activated your "Lang customs" will no longer have them and you will no longer be able to modify or active in groups the "Lang customs" already purchased.
  20. We save that you've been included in our global Blocklist, the date of adding, the date of removing, the reasons that led to this provision and the eventually proofs (textual or multimedia) that may support these reasons.

    • These are saved if you've been included in Blocklist. That Blocklist can be only managed by members of our Bot Staff.
    • We can obtain this information directly from the data available to us, from data acquired externally by our staff or from a report from the staff of groups that use our bot (in any case verified by our staff).
    • In order to make groups safer, thanks to the information available to us and the Telegram features, we can keep track of alleged new or secondary telegram accounts attributable to the same person, and insert them all in the Blocklist, even with a motivation relating to only one of accounts.
    • Reasons and evidence of the Blocklist could also be communicated by our support to other Telegram accounts which we believe are yours, if they request them to our support.
    • If you join a group in which your Blocklist is activated, all users of the group and in particular the group's staff may become aware that you are included in it, but they will not receive any further information about it.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • You cannot request the deletion of this data as it is necessary to offer our public service.

The data is stored in our systems, which run on servers located exclusively in European Union countries. Your information may be accessible, in addition to the users already specified point by point, also to our Bot Staff, to provide the service in the best possible way and for the verification of abuse of the service.

GDPR Data Protection Rights

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access
    • You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
    • You can request a full copy of the information or just the parts you are interested in.
    • You can request a copy of data for free once every 30 days, otherwise we may apply small fees.
  • The right to erasure
    • You have the right to request that we erase your personal data.
    • You can request to erase all the information or just the parts you are interested in.
    • Some information, as specified above on a case-by-case basis, is to be considered fundamental for the public service offered by the bot * and therefore its cancellation cannot be requested.
    • Some information can only be deleted under certain conditions, always as described above on a case-by-case basis.
    • You can request the deletion of data for free once every 30 days, otherwise we may apply small fees.
  • The right to lodge a complaint

If you make a request, we have 30 days to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please write us in one of the following way:

Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online and specially Telegram activity.
Group Help does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child information is on our Telegram Bots, we encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
